A Living Sacrifice…

“Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12: 1-2 NIV Worship Study Bible

    In everything I do and say, may my life please YOU Lord Everyday—In light of the awesome and kind mercy that was shown towards us, hold nothing back, but rather offer your whole self without reservation. In view of God’s mercy we are redeemed. We were brought with a high price.

We were redeemed and ransomed through the sacrificial offering of Jesus’ blood. In the above text, the Apostle Paul is urging us to give ourselves away and to offer our total being as living sacrifices. Our spiritual “acts” of worship are required. It is required in exchange of the mercy that was shown us through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ that was poured out on the cross. Today as you present your body as a living sacrifice, know that you will be made into a vessel that worships in the mist of any trial that may come.
