Crying Out In Desperation…We're Helpless
I felt helpless as I attended a funeral of a young man that was gunned downed in Riverdale, Georgia. I was helpless as I watched the faces of young men; which looked as if they wanted to seek revenge. Helpless! Helpless as the choir was singing uplifting songs with praises directed to heaven. I still had feelings of helplessness. I felt helpless while others shared “good” things of their relationship with the young man. Just Helpless. Helpless as the preacher comforted the family with unauthorized authority that the young man was in heaven—no one knows. I’m not saying he is, or is not. I am however stating that, no one has the authority to make that proclamation-- with assurance, to the final eternity destiny for one’s soul. God alone… “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether it be good or bad”. ll Corinthians 5:10 NIV Worship Bible.
Although I didn’t know the young man that was killed, or his parents, I wanted to attend and offer my sincere condolences for their loss. I shared with the parents and all around that I will be praying for them in this difficult time. I was feeling helpless again as the word “prayer” came out of my mouth. I wanted to offer more but I did not have it in my own strength to give. It didn’t take long, to understand what was needed. It was clear that a divine intervention and immense move of God is needed to heal our land. I sense the silent, yet desperate cry for help… divine help for the lives of so many young adults that are ignorant by the deceits of Satan. Ephesians chapter 6: verse 10-17…”Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”. What is needed in these last days?
We need divine help that comes from a move of God and his splendor. I desire to experience a vast move of the Holy Ghost in this dark hour. I desire to see the Lord raise up mighty men of valor—men that are not afraid to comfont the kingdom of darkness and to do spiritual warfare to rescue others. It will happen. I know it will. I also, know that Satan is on his job. He is. But, he must be stopped!!! How? Scriptures tells us in ll Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14, that “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear [their prayer] from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country”. Our land, communities, schools, loved ones, churches and individual lives need to be healed. Healing is needed and God, through his Son Jesus Christ is seeking to heal those that are willing to turn from their perverted evil ways so that He can begin the healing process in our lives. I worship today by declaring--NO MORE helpless feelings. I’m taking authority in Jesus Name!!! I am standing in the gap to share words of truth (my personal testimony) about the mercy that was extended to liberate me. Forever worship
