This Is My Holy Place…

Zechariah 2:10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. (KJV)
The actual tent that God would dwell in was separated into two compartments, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place--In the Most Holy Place were the Ark & the Mercy Seat. The Glory cloud which represented the very presence of God hovered over the Mercy Seat and remained there whenever the Tabernacle stood still. What a comfort it was for His people to know God was so near. He protected His people from the heat of the sun by day and provided a fire by night to assure them He was there. Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night. A habitation is a place that is clean and fit to live in. A place where there is pure light, love and life. Those were my thoughts as I helped a classmate move into her new home. I had an opportunity to assist a fellow classmate that relocated to another town. I was honored to help with the packing and moving process.

But, I was equally grateful for the great time of fellowship that occurred. As we were standing in the family room, my classmate communicated the importance removing all objects so that there would not be a fine for objects left. I noticed that we did not remove the solar night lights, so I proceed to remove them from each room. In fact, we did a complete walk through to be certain. And, I found the apartment to be in its simplest term-- move-in-ready.   It was the type of home that the Lord is looking to inhabit. It was a place that was made ready, so to speak. It was a place that was spotless and clean. I begin to share how Jesus desires to dwell in a temple that is like the house we cleaned. God in all His fullness determined to give a vivid portrait of the Person & Work of Christ that it could be used to prepare a place in the hearts of those who desired to know HIM! I want to be the place where God dwells. I worship today by declaring, my temple a holy place for Jesus to make his home.
