Valley of the Shadow….
”Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worked for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”. 2 Corinthians 4:17

Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t just put an end to your troubles and give you a “free pass” from pain, suffering, and trails that are certain to come? Well, I have and often do. But, I’m learning that the light afflictions in our lives will be used for a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. What does that mean? Really. It means that, our lives will be used as art work on a potter’s wheel, as the craftsmen fashion the pottery into their desired intention. Jeremiah 18:2 ..."Then I went down to the potter's house and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels". This work is wrought (formed) So that our loved ones, others around, and whomsoever chooses to come to him will experience life as a result of the beaten (death) art work we've become. We are a beaten work for others. 2 Corinthians 4:10..."Always bearing about in the body of the Lord Jesus, that, the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh; So then death worketh in us, but life in you". May we not faint, but Praise Him! 2 Corinthians 4:16 "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is remewed day by day." After all, he is God and can do anything! Amen. Amen. 2 Corinthians 4:17 "Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worked for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”.

The suffering (light afflictions) that is brought into our lives, will be used to make us stronger and more secure in our faith toward Christ for His body sake. Colossians 1:24 "Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church". Today, I worship by declaring the truth of God eternal representation in writing (His word) over my life from the book of  Psalm 23 " The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever".~Forever Worship~
