Sacrifice, Obedience, and Faith...
Worship is a selfless act of giving ourselves to God wholeheartedly with our entire being--not just in song. We often connect worship with “music”. I use too.  But, I had to learn that worship is more than a song. In fact, the highest form of worship is sacrifice, obedience, and faith. Genesis 22:2-5 displays the perfect demonstration of what it really means to offer worship. The highest form of worship is...

·         Obedience--rule or authority that exacts such conformance

·         Faith--strong confidence or unshakeable belief in something
·         Sacrifice-- to relinquish, forgo, renounce

Genesis 22:2-5  God said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I will tell you. So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him and his son Isaac; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and then began the trip to the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. And Abraham said to his servants, Settle down and stays here with the donkey, and I and the young man will go yonder and worship and come again to you.

Sacrifice By Bob Fitts
Such faith! The Lord asked Abraham to offer his son Isaac before him on Mount Moriah. In obedience, he got up early the next morning, saddled his donkey and head out in faith to present (sacrifice) his son before God. That is what is required of us today--To surrender our will and all that we hold dear to God. Let us not withhold our finest, but give our all. Because, God gave his best (His only Son Jesus Christ) so that we may have life richly. May we relinquish all to the Lord and allow Him to have complete rule (Lordship) over us as we place our confidence ONLY in Him. Foreverworship Him!
