All Eyes on Jesus…You Can’t Go Wrong
Jesus is coming soon, there is NO time for idleness, or focusing on things that may draw you away from the mission at hand--which is being a vessel for His use. Jesus is coming
soon, and these days of test and trouble may specify He is coming very soon,
within the lifetime of this generation. We can focus on and rejoice in this
hope in our days of trouble, as we pass through various trials. We can be content
and rejoice if we trust in and obey the words of Jesus as He spoke to His
church. Jesus challenges each person to conquer in many cases, “to conquer themselves” through loving, trusting, and
obeying. Anything or anyone that is put before God is an idol. NO idolatry allowed.
Period.
Revelation 22:1-9 Then the angel showed me the river of the water
of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Through
the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree
of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the
leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Nothing accursed will be
found there anymore. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and
his servants will worship him; they will see his face, and his name will be on
their foreheads. And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or
sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and
ever. And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true, for the Lord,
the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants
what must soon take place.” See, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps
the words of the prophecy of this book.” I, John, am the one who heard and saw
these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet
of the angel who showed them to me; but he said to me, “You must not do that! I
am a fellow servant with you and your comrades the prophets, and with those who
keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
Both the angels of
God and the apostles rejected the worship of men. Satan wanted Jesus to worship
him and Satan wants people to worship him today. Demons create idols for people
to worship instead of worshiping God. Those who are the true servants of God,
who keep (or obey) the words of the Bible, worship God only and tell others to
worship God only. The entire New Testament encourages the worship of God the
Father and Jesus, the Son of God (the Lamb on the throne). The Holy Spirit helps
us worship the true and living God. Let us keep our eyes on the author and finisher of our faith, by worshipping
Jesus and not man.
