The house my Father
built...
My daughters and I were riding in the car. We had
taken an alternative route to our destination. While on this backstreet, my
daughters recognized the house of a friend that her father built for his
family. The home was beautifully landscaped. It had a huge front and backyard with
a large shade tree on the side of the home. The house driveway had a long expanse
and set alone. It was beautiful! A few weeks later I traveled the route again.
While on the road, my thoughts were…”I wish I had a home that my father built”.
Suddenly, I sensed Jesus speaking—you do
as you continue to live for me. My heart was overwhelmed with joy, as tears
begin to flow from my eyes. This scripture from the gospel of John is fitting
for what was placed gently in my heart. “In My Father’s house
are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and
receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”. John 14:2-3. Until that moment comes, there is a house (you and me)
the Lord has built (our hearts) that He desires to dwell in right now. And, as
we live for him; we will live with Him in the house our father built. I worship today by declaring; there is a home
that God has prepared for all that will obey his word. For all that chooses to
deny their ways for the way (the only way) of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life;
no one comes to the Father but through me. John 14:6. Foreverworhship
Him!
